The # 1 bull of the breed for Marbling EPD at +1.15.  Prime Star was the top selling bull in our 2005 Production sale, purchased by Express Ranches and Monarch Farms.  Prime Star recorded an individual IMF ratio of 177 in our program that has been focused on and collected both harvest and ultrasound carcass data since 1990.  With 577 progeny scanned in 229 contemporary groups - Prime Star ranks as the #1 sire of our breed for Marblling EPD,   Prime Star scanned a  9.1 (average prime) with .21 inches of rib fat and .19 inches of rump fat.  His Production, Carcass, and $Values are outstanding.

The #3 bull of the breed for Carcass EPDs with a Marbling EPD of +1.10.  Gardens Wave is an excellent bull to use to reduce mature size, improve marbling EPDs, increase ribeye are, improve $Yield Grade while advancing the efficiency of your operation with his $EN value of +25.93.   He is  one of the most unique bulls we own with great calving ease (top 5%) marbling (top 1%), REA (top 3%) to his outstanding $Values putting him in the top 4% for $Wean, top 1% for $Grid, top 1% for $Quality Grade, and just misses being in the top 1% for $Beef.  We recently sold half interest in Gardens Wave to ABS Global.  Semen is available through ABS.

Gardens Highmark is the #9 bull of the breed for Mrb. EPD at +.98.  He has well balanced EPDs from start to finish.  His progeny continue to produce outstanding carcass results, as well as his daughters being our top scanning sire group. His dam is a member of Express Ranches elite donor cows.   Of 112 steers killed in 2005 at Creekstone that were owned by the Osborn Cattle Company, 32 of them were sired by sons of Gardens Highmark.  These steers average marbling score was 7.5 with four of the steers grading high prime (10.0 or better).   Highmark scanned ( a modest 80), with .12 of a inch of backfat and a 13.4 square inch ribeye.  A very prolific semen producer.   Currently, Highmark ranks in the top 1% of the breed for $Grid, $Quality Grade and $Beef.

We purchased EXT in the fall of 1987 to be used as a cover bull on our heifers, he has gone on to be one of the greatest angus bulls to date.  EXT's superior influence can be found throughout our herd. For calving ease, moderate mature size and superb females, there is no equal.  Owned jointly with Sinclaire Cattle, PA.

Prime Time continues to be an excellent calving ease and carcass sire.  His sons, N Bar Prime Time D806 and Summitcrest High Prime continue to excel as superb carcass sires.  

His daughters are among our best young cows, moderate in size, with excellent udders.  Owned jointly with Summitcrest Farms, Summitville, Ohio.

Gardens Matrix is an outstanding son of SS Traveler T510, out of one of our best Scotch Cap OB45 dams (pictured below).  Matrix pulls together outstanding productions numbers and his lineage contains some of the best moderately framed, easy fleshing, high scanning females at Green Garden. 

Gardens Bonus scanned a 6.34 on the Cupp with .15 inches of backfat.   His Marbling EPD of +.81 puts him in the top 1% of the breed.  His dam is a pathfinder daughter of Gardens Transition from the Susie cow family that produced Gardens Prime Time.  A37 is probably one of the best phenotypically made bulls we have ever produced.  He carries balanced EPDs for start to finish with great carcass potential.  We highly recommend Bonus for use on heifers.

Gardens OB45 9254 ranks in the top 3% of the breed for $EN at +21.73 along with carrying a -3.5 on Feed Efficiency as identified with the Bovigen LLC.  His IMF ratio of 106 with a backfat ratio of .97 indicates that he should be an excellent carcass sire as well as having superior calving ease and growth.
